Rituals of Memory
The article “Ritual of Memory,” by Kimberly M. Blazer describes the author’s experiences being by a product of multiples cultures. Blazer compares our relationships to family, place and communication to her friend’s curly hair because they cannot be separated, and they always return to define us. Blazer says memories and storytelling are ceremonies that defined who we are, we have almost the same culture. Blaser explains this memory were so important to her because she learned that you could have a variety of different cultures and still believe in both fully. Blaser talk about her Native American culture and school culture both defining her. She is from both parts of culture. In the end, they both shows who she is.

First I read my book that held the story inside. Then we try to make a quick story that can explain what happened in the Rituals of Memory. Next i wrote my summary in a document. Then fixed what i need to fix, and lastly I put the title.
2. What qualifies this paper as a summary? What are the requirements for this genre and how did you meet them?
This paper is summary paper because it is explaining in short terms what happened in the Rituals of Memory.
3. What piece of advice would you give someone writing a summary for the first time? Why?
I think you should read it carefully and pay attention because it would be hard if you didn't understand it. I didn't pay attention a lot but then i went back a reread it because so parts it didn't make sense. Summary's aren't that hard, but it takes time.
